2 Truck & Fork Lift Drivers needed ASAP - Vets preferred (Herndon - VA.)
** All candidates must have clean driving records, be experienced with driving a manual 25 ft truck, be able to drive and operate a forklift, and have clean backgrounds and be fully clearable for a security clearance. **
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor and Project Manager, the Driver/Inventory Control Clerks are responsible for the efficient and safe pick-up and/or transportation of Federal Government packaged materials and mail. The Driver/Inventory Control Clerks are also required to be able to be certified and operate an electric fork truck for all required materials handling in the facility.
Further, this position will be responsible to the Warehouse Supervisor for control and maintenance of stored materials and the reporting of all such materials. This is a sensitive position requiring close attention to details and procedures that include:
1. Responsible for safely and properly driving 3,500 pound capacity van and operating electric fork truck.
2. Responsible for daily, or as directed, pickup and delivery of mail to all designated USPS facilities or other carrier hubs.
3. Responsible for delivering and picking up materials, including the loading and unloading of vehicles.
4. Assures routine maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, including but not limited to: checking oil, water, fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor or Project Manager.
5. Furnishes daily to the Warehouse Supervisor, a mileage report and daily vehicle checklist for the truck or van and all signed receipts for fueling of vehicles.
6. Operates equipment, including but not limited to hand truck, pallet jack, fork lift, van and truck. Equipment certification may be required for any and all of this equipment. Driving record must be provided at time of interview
7. Responsible for material handling and movement of stock to and from designated Warehouse locations using appropriate equipment as necessary.
8. Participate in all staff meetings and other duties as may be assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
9. Uphold our Code of Ethics for a human services provider. Promote a healthy and safe work environment for all staff.
10. Responsible for learning, knowing and using the client's Inventory Management System (AMIS) for inventory-related data.
11. Responsible for the accurate entry and verification of daily stock transactions and stock movements, from forms submitted, into the Stock Locator System on Microsoft Excel.
12. Responsible for the physical verification of stock counts and stock locations.
13. Responsible for the daily printing of Stock Usage Report, Picking Tickets and related reports.
14. Responsible for daily running of queries on client's Inventory Management System (AMIS) to obtain addresses on Picking Tickets for use by the Pitney Bowes shipping software.
15. Responsible for assisting in the restocking of pick locations as directed.
16. May be required to assist as a Picker, Packer under direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, selecting materials to fill orders, quality control (QC) filled orders and package requests, as necessary and directed. Will be responsible for learning how to operate Pitney Bowes shipping system and manifest to provide backup and/or assistance during peak periods of shipping activity.

Compensation: $14.50 / hr. for first 90 days w/o benefits, $17.90 / hr. thereafter w/ benefits.
