Title: Certification / System Engineer
Reports to: CTO
Job summary
• Responsible for all certification efforts with certifying agencies (CE/UL/DOT) for the Qnergy engines and products.
• Interface with certification consultancy firms for CE/UL/DOT.
• Assist in system level design and technical considerations including specifications and operational parameters for Qnergy system level products.
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to the production of the product and technical issues.
• Prepare technical documents required for the system including drawings, for the customer purchased part specifications, procedures, maintain bills of material, maintain BOM configurations and ECOs, and other documents required for the manufacturing of the system level product.
• Assist in providing technical support to Sales and Marketing, for Qnergy systems.
• Assist in general group engineering tasks such as design, modelling, prototyping, testing and other as time permits.
Skills/knowledge, Education/Experience
• Previous experience in certification procedures.
• B.Sc. in an engineering discipline (preference to those having a strong mix in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the engineering/integration of a product level application.
• High level of communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive his/her own tasks in context of company goals.
• Proficiency in solid modelling software (SolidWorks and/or Inventor)
• Team Player
Physical effort and dexterity
• Some lifting up to 40 pounds may be required
• Regular use of a computer keyboard is required
• Employee regularly sits for a number of hours per shift
• This position requires the employee to be present in the office or on the job site, and therefore, attendance is an essential function of this position
Visual acuity, hearing and speaking
• Employee is regularly required to speak and hear clearly, both in person and by telephone
• Regularly utilizes written and oral communication skills
• Requires ability to read and interpret information and documents
• Performs detailed work on multiple concurrent projects
Environment and scheduling
• Primarily office environment with up to 10 % travel required including occasional weekend travel
• Must be able to work overtime or weekends periodically as project needs require
• Must be able to work under deadlines
• Position requires interacting with management, internal peers and outside technical experts
