POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Advisor (QA) assists the state leadership and stakeholders in the beneficiary, family, and provider recruitment and engagement cross all tasks for the QIN – QIO contract with CMS. This position develops teams and leaders for Quality Improvement (QI) efforts. The QA is responsible for data gathering, demonstrating understanding and technical assistance for all tasks. QA interprets data to assist with quality improvement interventions for varied healthcare and community settings and uses a variety of QI methodology to meet goals set by healthcare provider, community and CMS. Using community organization techniques, the QA facilitates community coalition meetings. The QA collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating understanding of measurement and quality improvement methodology and facilitates the providers in identifying needs to improve established goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field desired, masters preferred.
-Experience successfully building outreach and meaningful connections to providers, communities and target populations.
-Demonstrate strong skills in verbal and written communication, including experience and ability in public speaking.
-Knowledge of a variety of quality improvement methodologies.
-CPHQ or ASQ certification preferred.
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer) required.
-Ability to travel in assigned territory, for stakeholder meetings throughout the state of North Carolina and to Alliant home office for department meetings. Reliable internet and phone coverage to maintain a home office environment.
