Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) is a developer and manufacturer of advanced heat pipes, pumped liquid and two-phase loops, and thermal storage devices. We specialize in technology development and custom thermal product design and manufacturing. We work to solve some of the most challenging thermal problems in the aerospace, military, industrial equipment, HVAC, and government R&D markets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Support engineering staff in the manufacturing of thermal products.
Use blueprints, drawings, CAD software and engineering information to plan and execute methods and sequences of operations required to fabricate thermal products. Includes inspection, reporting, and acceptance of product geometric features, interpretation of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), and associated drawing notes.
Machine thermal product components to print or model using ProtoTrak CNC and Knee Mill. This includes setup, fixture/tooling design and selection, cutting tool selection, feed and speed determination, and the order of operations. Responsible for conformance to the drawing.
Form thermal products through bending to meet geometric tolerances and fitment. Select bend tooling, fixtures and order of operation to form products to print or model.
Inspect components machined and formed per customer requirements using FARO arm inspection tools and programs, calipers, micrometers, and custom gages.
Procure materials, as required; submit requests for quote or manufacture to suppliers, obtain price quotations, generate purchase orders and obtain appropriate approvals, place purchase orders, work with suppliers on delivery schedule.
Identify materials, both incoming and in-process, as required per material identification and inspection procedures.
Assemble, braze or solder thermal products and support hardware, as required.
Acts to assure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Perform in-process and final inspections, as required.
Follow Foreign Object Damage Protection procedures when working on Aerospace product contracts.
Use initiative, imagination and knowledge to assist design, fabrication and test of thermal products and support hardware.
Aides in the development of responsive delivery schedules.
Assists in the development of fabrication and test procedures and methods.
Work as part of the team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Minimum requirements include:
Certificate from technical school or minimum 5 years of related experience.
Experience with machining, metal forming, fabricating, and assembly.
Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models
2 & 3 axis CNC programming (ProtoTrak preferred),and precision measurement are required.
Read and interpret GD&T and strong math skills are a must.
