Job Title: Commissary Operations Manager
Summary of Position:
Directly responsible for timing and execution of catering deliveries, catering inventory management, maintaining storage of equipment, paper products and beverage products. Must maintain quality standards in regards to sanitation and cleanliness. Must place and receive orders in order to maintain inventory minimums. Supervise porters. Additionally, responsible for ensuring all catered events’ pantry responsibilities are executed successfully and cost effectively. Responsible for strictly maintaining the standards of Kashrut as set forth by and under the direction of the company’s Mashgiach.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage logistics for all catering deliveries and events (pre, during and post)
• Responsible for warehouse inventory, organization and management; ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition
• Place orders with appropriate vendors in order to maintain inventory minimums
• Supervise the Warehouse and Delivery Manager as well as all porter staff
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
• Liaise with the Director of Catering and the Manager of Culinary Operations to ensure successful execution of all deliveries and events
• Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse and off-premise catering, and restaurant operations
• Must be able to communicate clearly with porters, managers, kitchen personnel, event personnel and guests
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Detail-oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
