About the Job
As the Director, Outreach Operations you will play a crucial leadership role in expanding the reach and impact of our JSTOR and Portico services around the globe. Your job is to make sure the trains run on time and to find ways to make them better, cheaper, and faster. Our outreach teams are highly reliant on data, systems, and interactions with other people across our organization to meet our participation and revenue goals. It is your responsibility to deliver an outstanding operational support infrastructure and the processes needed to help our team of Institutional Participation Directors and Coordinators drive our participation and revenue-generation efforts around the world.
About the Team
Your team includes a small, committed group of Outreach Associates and Product Operations Specialists who must coordinate their efforts in support of the revenue and participation goals for the organization. This team is part of our outreach and participation team which includes 28 people. The team is based in New York City, with regional directors across the United States and in Europe and Asia.
About You
You will be stepping into a new position in a very data-driven organization. You must be a great leader who is part data-wonk and part operations guru, and who can manage both of those roles within a culture of teamwork (both within the Outreach team and within the organization as a whole). You must have considerable experience with managing sales team needs with CRM systems and demonstrated long-term success in an operations role supporting a sales organization.
