* Schedule inbound and outbound shipments and determine accurate shipping dates. Review production schedules to anticipate shipping needs. Maintain constant awareness of production status. Ensure communication to key stakeholders.
* Provide pricing / quotes both foreign and domestic, land, ocean or air for estimating department, when requested.
* Consolidate and schedule shipments; select/coordinate carriers, track shipments; Work with client shipping departments when necessary to complete shipping arrangements; Determine proper size for containers or trucks; Enforce proper packing procedures to meet shipment specs, costs and organization. Facilitate foreign and domestic shipments including air. Ensure shipping schedules meet customer/program specifications; Monitor status of daily shipping requirements.
* Address problems / situations that could impact the shipping/production schedule; Provide for alternative transportation solutions in the event of problems; Actively participate on internal teams/committees which focus on ISO/Quality and continuous improvement. Investigate causes of damages, shortages, or overcharges for freight or insurance; Verify completeness of shipments according to packing lists; Closely monitor shipments, complying with federal, state, provincial and local legal requirements
* Manage the tactical operations of the warehouse, dock, inventory/rentals. Understand and apply company’s labor relations policies; Build and maintain respectful, positive working relationships with skilled labor / production staff; Monitor work environment, and partner with leadership to ensure safe and compliant workplace conditions
* Maintain current inventory of all client owned display properties stored at EEI, as well as EEI owned rental assets/properties; facilitate the addition and deletion of properties as required; Update inventory movement daily. Monitor and update database, and generate reports in EEI Connect; Maintain tracker inventory for shipments and maintenance of client properties daily
* Organize and maintain shipping & receiving records, including pick lists, load-out lists, bills of lading, receiving lists, and rental forms; provide required paperwork for billing / shipments to the operations departments.
REQUIREMENTS
* High school / GED with substantial (5 years or more) experience managing warehouse, material logistics, and transportation activities.
* Strong knowledge of local, state federal, and international laws and requirements to maintain compliance to all relevant shipping statutes
* Experience with / command of union / non-union guidelines as pertains to freight / shipping
* Strong computer skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, and ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
