Job Description
FUNCTION
The primary responsibility of the Senior SQL Database Administrator is to perform data standards and procedures, design and develop logical and physical data models and databases, distribute data management, information management functions, designs and implement physical database back-ups, recovery programs, archiving functions and conversion strategies on specific database technologies.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Line: Responsible to the Vice President Information Technology for successful performance of assigned duties.
• Staff: Assists and advises other departments and Company personnel, as necessary, to assure the successful performance of their assigned job duties and the Company overall.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages and maintains data in all production and non-production databases and replication servers.
• Designs and develops logical and physical layers for various databases.
• Leads in handling data testing, reporting, back-ups and restorations.
• Provides technical assistance and mentors staff on developing conceptual and logical database designs and physical databases.
• Utilizes logical models to ensure efficient and reliable database performance.
• Develops and manages gaming and related databases.
• Interfacing with other departments in planning, recommendations, assisting with needs, and implementing computer and telephone hardware/software, systems, and programs.
• Maintaining the integrity of company operational computer databases. Documentation of systems and procedures.
• Review Information Technology activities with Vice President IT.
• Meet with department directors and managers as necessary
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data, MIS operational systems, company policies, and marketing plans.
• Through various oral and written reports to the Senior Director of Finance.

Minimum Requirements
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
• Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware repair, telephone and data communications and networking.
• Computer proficient with extensive experience with PC based systems on AS/400 computer networks. Developing and maintaining sizable database.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to perform assigned duties in under frequent time pressures.
• Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of experience in computers, networks, problem solving, software, and computer operations.
• A minimum of 5 years supervising/managing computer and data base functions.
• A 4-year degree in Computer Science/IT Operations or related field is preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
• Hospitality/Gaming industry experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak clear understandable Western English
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
• Office environment.
• Travel by car with occasional travel by plane.
• Exposed to smoke, bright lights and noise.
