DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises processing of medical records
•Develops and implements policies and procedures relating to the management, retention, and storage of medical records
•Ensures that policies and procedures are in compliance with all legal regulatory requirements pertaining to the handling of health information and medical records
•Supervises, directs, trains, and assigns the work of staff, either directly or through subordinate staff
•Maintains productivity expectations and reports progress and quality initiatives.
•Coordinate employee work schedules along with employees personal time off to ensure requirements needed to meet established productivity goals
•Responsible all time-sensitive record related requests & activities; IPRO, DOH, OIG, Risk, Appeals, etc.
•Supervision of 16+ employees
QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university and at least five years Medical Records Experience.
•Three or more years of experience in supervising a Health Information Management Department in a hospital or clinic setting.
•Effective Team Building Skills
•Effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels
•Positive & professional attitude
