JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for obtaining and maintaining federal/state/provincial registrations of Harrell’s products, which include fertilizers, pesticides, soil amendments, surfactants and adjuvants. Shall be responsible for the development of registration strategies in order to meet the timing needs of the business and develop internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Product registration and renewals as required under applicable federal and state laws
2. Reviews and approves product labels in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Working knowledge of Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), safety data sheets (SDS), and Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) as well as all associated compliance and regulations.
4. Works closely with Director of Regulatory Affairs in all correspondence to and from regulatory agencies.
5. Assist Director of Regulatory Affairs with procedures to ensure compliance with FIFRA, state laws, hazardous materials regulations, MPS/GHS, and other applicable laws and regulations
6. Travel required – 10%
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience in relevant field. Master’s degree or certification preferred.
2. Two to three years of relevant work experience required.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
4. Ability to read and interpret regulations as well as the ability to communicate technical information.
5. Strong organizational skills including the ability to work against pressing deadlines.
6. Ability to prioritize tasks and to work independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 30 pounds.
