Remote Technical Support for MS Exchange, Cloud Services
Intermedia is looking for Smart, Honest and Hardworking Expert’s to operate as a Home-working Technical Support Engineer.
IMPORTANT:
This is a part-time position of 4 hour shifts of 20 hours per week.
We can only hire candidates from the following states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IN, MD, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, TN, UT, WA.
All candidates must be available for a 5 hour training class for 3 weeks (typically 8am - 1pm PST). WE ARE STARTING OUR CLASS ON MARCH 22. (We will have an additional class in mid APRIL).
A background check is part of the hiring process.
This position requires a dedicated network connection with sufficient BANDWIDTH
Job Description:
The Exchange Technical Support Engineer Level 1 is the front line support team for our small business owner customers. As an Intermedia engineer you form the customers’ first impression of the company and must strive to ensure this impression is excellent. You will work through technical support solutions with our clients and escalate issues out of your scope to senior engineers. Work shifts available vary, and weekend shifts are also usually available.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide phone and internet-based support to Intermedia customers
Answer incoming phone calls from your assigned telephone queue
Respond to incoming e-mail support requests
Assist new clients with the on-boarding process to use Intermedia products
Recognize trends and report them to senior level engineers
Find and document any new support issues
Work with other team members to expand your knowledge of our products and services
Provide excellent technical support and customer service to our customers
Required Skills:
1+ years of experience in a call center environment in a customer service or technical support role
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong sense of commitment to resolving client issues
Must be a self-starter with proven ability to work proactively and independently
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
Detailed oriented with good documentation skills
Ability to work with multiple departments to coordinate client satisfaction
Excellence, you will be a champion for our customers and resolving their issues
Interpersonal skills are a must with an outgoing and vibrant attitude
All Home-working agents will need to have the capability to work from their own home.
Must have Broadband capability with a dedicated Internet connection used only for work purposes to ensure uninterrupted, high quality for customer calls.

Desired Skills:
College degree or equivalent experience
Professional technology certifications such as MCITP, MCSE or MCSA, etc.
Experience with Outlook in a Microsoft Exchange environment, IIS, Apache, MySQL, or MSSQL
Working knowledge of DNS
