The outbound Market Development Rep is responsible for building sales pipeline by prospecting and qualifying sales leads for the North America sales theatre. MDRs are the first line of contact in Sales and must be able to position appropriate sales questions and conversations to drive interest in Polycom’s unified collaboration solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Prospect, qualify, and nurture leads generated from marketing programs via outbound phone calls and emails
• Escalate thoroughly qualified leads to the sales organization
• Carry out various call campaigns to support integrated sales and marketing demand generation efforts
• Distribute qualified sales leads to appropriate sales groups and account owners
• Responsible for achieving daily call and qualified lead volume targets
• Utilize Salesforce.com to maintain and update quality information
• Maintain and expand Polycom solutions and industry knowledge
• Strategic cold calling efforts into targeted accounts
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 2-4 years of lead development or tele-prospecting/call center experience
• Highly-evolved prospecting skills including the ability to engage in meaningful conversations with all levels of management and technical professionals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of metrics oriented environment with regards to productivity and lead conversion rates
• Aptitude for acquiring selling skills and technical product knowledge
• Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet, SFA tools, and MS Office tools. SFDC experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong telephone presence required.
• Ability to work cross-departmentally with Sales, Marketing, and other business units
