Olin Corporation is a leading vertically-integrated global manufacturer and distributor of chemical products and a leading U.S. manufacturer of ammunition. The chemical products produced include chlorine and caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies, chlorinated organics, bleach and hydrochloric acid. Winchester's principal manufacturing facilities produce and distribute sporting ammunition, law enforcement ammunition, reloading components, small caliber military ammunition and components, and industrial cartridges. Winchester has a Configuration Management Specialist opportunity located at its Oxford, MS, facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With limited supervision, establish, implement and maintain a Configuration Management (CM) System that can be utilized on all Government contracts.
- Post and maintain all Government TDP files to a secure location accessible only by personnel located at East Alton and Oxford locations.
- Assist with the development of and maintain a large-scale sortable database that houses Government TDP lists and tracks ECP changes to those documents. Database must be accessible by personnel located at East Alton and Oxford locations.
- Establish and manage a formal method to solicit ECP cost and schedule implementation impact from Winchester Departments (i.e. Production, Quality, Engineering, Packaging, Purchasing, Contract Services), coordinate ECP impact response and relay response to Military Program Management.
- Track ECP response dates and implementation dates.
- Maintain updated Government TDP lists, specifications and drawings according to ECP changes and ensure easy access to those documents by personnel located at East Alton and Oxford locations. Issue notification of configuration changes.
- Establish and manage a method coordinating internal and external flowdown to ensure implementation of Government TDP and ECP changes.
- Assure all Government drawings housed in the Adept system are up-to-date.
- Act as Winchester Point of Contract and effectively participate in discussions with the Government pertaining to TDP documents and configuration changes.
- Prepare Contractual Baseline Reports in accordance with contractual requirements and provide to Military Program Management.
- Conduct on-site and off-site CM audits.
- Position to be located in Oxford, MS.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years configuration management or related technical experience required.
- Proficiency in database development and maintenance required.
- Experience in development and maintenance of a document Configuration Management System preferred.
- Experience with U.S. Government Contracting preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Winchester products and processes preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, with a demonstrated high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access required.
- SAP and Adept experience preferred.
