QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a human service related or equivalent experience. Two years providing case management and family support required. Experience in building rapport with families from diverse backgrounds and facilitating parent involvement in program activities. Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance. Bi-lingual (Spanish) required; able to translate both verbally and in writing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Family Service Worker is responsible for working closely with the Head Start Director and the Early Childhood Programs Project Manager to ensure program compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. The Family Service Worker conducts community outreach efforts to recruit and enroll eligible children and families. This position is also responsible for record keeping and data submission regarding enrollment and attendance. Using a case management approach, the Family Service Worker assesses families’ strengths and links families to services within VOA and in the community. This position also works to encourage parents to participate in parent training events and to volunteer in center activities.
SALARY: $16.02 per hour
HOURS: 20 hours – hours flexible between
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
