Job Description
The position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge technology that supports our nation’s fundamental defense services. Employees work closely with the government to develop solutions that allow them to carry out submarine missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to deliver end-to-end solutions in mission systems integration, development, and operations support to fleets and the organization.
The Systems Engineer will support the AN/BYG-1 variants’ initial introduction and post-delivery activities. These activities include:
- system engineering analysis,
- development of requirements,
- development of test procedures, and support of systems engineering meetings.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a have:
- 4 year technical degree
- between 3 and 7 years of professional experience.
Experience in:
- systems engineering
- software development
- software architecture with a strong desire to participate in requirements specification for computer software configuration items.
Desired Skill Sets
- Experience with DOORS
- BYG1 Experience
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Experience cabling equipment racks to support system hardware components
- Ability to move heavy computer equipment
Department of Defense secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
